Wu Long is a semi-fermented tea that often is put into a group between black and green tea, it is mainly made in China and Taiwan or Formosa as it was known earlier. All Wulong teas are known and used for its slimming properties and often recommended for weight loss. Green Tea
Young tender budding leaves are traditionally hand-plucked and quickly processed without fermentation to produce a wonderfully fresh tasting tea. Green tea has shown some extraordinary results for fighting various serious illnesses and thereby attracted a lot of interest from both the tea drinking public and scientists. Green tea contains anti-oxidants, anti-oxidants combats free radicals which is important for fighting some serious illnesses such as cancer. Anti-oxidants seem to have a scavenging effect on abnormal body cells and scientists beleive this is the key to how green tea prevents cancer. Countries that are renowned for their fine green teas include China, Japan and Taiwan. Most tea historians agree that green tea originated in the costal provinces of China.

White Tea
Although sometimes included with green teas, it has a slight degree of fermentation. However, the amount of fermentation is not sufficient to classify it as semi-fermented or oolong style tea. These delightfully smooth flavorful teas, produced only in China, are given a unique modified-bruising leaf surface treatment, along with their light fermentation. White tea shares a lot of the good properties of both green tea and wulong tea, not too surprising since the main difference being the amount of fermentation.
